LOCATION OF PUHOS AREA

Puhos is located in the area of the town of Kitee, in the southernmost part of North Karelia.

In addition to Kitee, the economic area of the Kitee region includes Rääkkylä and Tohmajärvi. This region has approximately 16,000 inhabitants, of which around 9,300 live in Kitee.

There are approximately 1,100 companies in this region, including several international companies in the Puhos area.

The main sectors are wood and metal industry and service sector (travel, trade and welfare services).
